Teach Soap

In the usual odd turn that my life tends to take, I discovered that the car salesman I dealt with this weekend is married to a woman who makes lotions and lip balms. He whipped out several small bottles of lotion and a lotion bar (in a tube) and insisted I take them home.

It's very nice lotion and I really like it. Coconut oil is one of her ingredients, and I was wondering if there is a particular form of CO that is typically used in lotions. I have both 76 degree and fractionated.

Anybody have an opinion, or even an educated guess? I'm certainly not asking anyone to guess what's in this particular lotion, just wondering if there is a "preferred" form of CO for lotions.

It could be either. Technically, if it was fractionated coconut oil, it should be listed as capric/caprylic triglyceride. If it's coconut oil, it might be listed as cocos nucifera.

The one problem I have with this is her label. While her company, what the stuff is, and website are listed in a font that's a readable size, the ingredients list is nearly microscopic. I use a 6-point font on my lip balm ingredients list, and this is smaller. And it's also some kind of script-type font, which doesn't help.

Seems to me the solution is either use a bigger font, use a plainer font, or use two labels, one front and one back, and split up the information.
