Okay, I understand you can buy unscented shampoo and conditioner bases, and add your own fragrances. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, how would you do this? Heat, then add the fragrance? Just whisk it in? Sacrifice a chicken? Close your eyes and hope for the best?

Thanks for the help.

I would take out the amount of the base that you need, add the fragrance at a proper %, then slowly whisk it in by hand. You don't want to create too many bubbles while stirring. Be aware that some fragrances will thin out your shampoo base.

Thanks, Irena. The idea of having soap and conditioner scented with a favorite fragrance is quite appealing to me.

I am more seriously pursuing this as Nexxus has changed the scent of their Humectress conditioner and it's not to my liking. Didn't find out about the change until I had bought a gigantic bottle, of course. Argh.

Thanks again for the help.
