Does anyone know how much frag is recommended for the BB shower gel (goat's milk)? I think it is usually 1oz frag to 1 gal. Does that sound correct or way to low? Also if too much frag is add would it tend to dry out your skin? It is so thick I'm having a hard time getting it into my bottles. Would love any tips! This is the first time I have tried their shower gel. Really like it though so far.

Hi,I havn't tried BB's shower gel but I have used Organic Creations Goatsmilk and Shea gel, actually I dilute a paste so I can achieve a super thick shower gel, what I have found is some FO's will turn that thick gel to thin liquid in two seconds ,others will actually thicken it up more,as it is much easier to have a thicker gel than try to thicken a thin one (trust me) :x I will from now on TEST a small amount of FO or EO in a little gel to see what it will do. I guess after reading alot about this ....it seems to be a problem when fragrancing liquid soaps and shower gels. :) Good Luck PS I have had to resort to putting my gel into baggies and pipeing it into containers....it works

Thank you. That is what I did also put it into a zip lock. The a gardenia made is super thick, almost a gel at first. How much do you usually use in f.o. I was weighing it out to put it in to about 4 8oz bottles but I wasn't sure if I used too much f.o and that is why it was so thick. Also not sure if that would dry out my hands. My hands feel really dry right now from all the washing :(

I go by 1 oz. to 1 gallon of base. So I'd say that's about right. I find if I use more than that, it tends to get too thin and watery (for most fragrances anyway).

Ok so about 0.25oz per 32 oz? I like it kind of strong so could I use 0.50 oz per 32oz or does that sound like too much? It is pretty darn thick, it might help thin it a little. I like thick but it isn't coming out of my pumps :x

Yes. For 32 ozs. you would need 0.25 oz. of fragrance. I wouldn't go higher than that. If it's too thick, put it into a malibu tube (tottle) with a wider orifice instead.
