Can't seem to find my other posting on here from the other day. I'm thinking it is MIA, since there was a problem with the forum.

So I am going to repost my questions. Sorry for the inconvenience

This is the sugar scrub base I was considering:

or if any one has any suggestions on were to purchase a good base from they can pm me.

So since it is strongly recommended to put a preservative into a body butter or sugar scrub to prevent bacteria, which would you suggest?
I have not ever used a preservative before, this is a new avenue for me doing scrubs and body butters.

I would use Phenonip since it's only oil soluble.

I personally do not add a preservative to my body butters or anything else that is anhydrous (without water) AND that has no reasonable expectation of coming in contact with water. It is not necessary, although many people still use it, and that is not wrong, it is just a personal preference. I do see reason to add it to scrubs, as they are likely to have water introduced during use, and I do add (natural) antioxidants to everything, but that is my preference.
