I bought Germall Plus Liquid because it seems to be an almost universal preservative. My question is, how long will it (generally) increase the shelf life of a product? I'm especially interested in marketing a hair conditioner that I've been using myself for quite some time, but it requires fresh avocado and coconut milk. Would that be possible?

I would say no longer than 6 months at the maximum allowed for this preservative. Fresh avocado and coconut milk are harder to preserve. The only true way to know if your product is safe is to have it tested. I recommend the Sage Script Institute. http://www.sagescript.com/microbiologyservices.htm
