Im new to making these and was wondering how i should package each. Currently i wrap my soap rounds in colored tissue paper and then label. I was wondering what is suggested for the lotion bars and fizzies. I read about wax paper and tins as ideas for the lotion bars, but I am not sure where to find these.

Thanks

I use small deo containers for lotion bars. Fizzies get shrink wrapped. I no longer wrap my soap rounds in colored tissue paper as over time the color from the tissue bled on the soap. I use plain white with a label over it.

How about the white tissue with the sparkles in it? Has that ever given you trouble?

Hey! I thought we were in the age where men could wear pink, why not sparkles?

I am working on trying my first lotion bar. Also working on an order from BB to include the push up containers for these but since turn around time is longer I need some help. The search is not helpful, and I thought I read that toilet paper rolls could be used for these. If so - 1. Do you pour the melted mixture into them, or wait until it firms up and pack it in. 2. Then do you advise pushing up the bar or tearing away the roll as it is used?
For my first try I will use: bees wax, grape seed oil and cocoa butter.

I could add some olive oil. And I think I will just wait until I get my order in. Sometimes I just get impatient when I get an idea in this head of mine. Thanks SB!

No, but since I am putting in an order I will look for the apricot. Afraid of the almond oil due to allergies my grandkids have. Once again you are a charm to have around!

But it is treated as an oil not a wax correct? So it would not replace the beeswax?
Yes I need to be careful for my brother and granddtr... both must avoid nuts of all kinds! Me on the other hand, one of my favs is dry roasted peanuts mixed with candy corn!

I make lotion bars a lot and have had good luck with extra light olive oil for those with nut allergies. As Soapbuddy has said in the past depending on where you live or the time of year I use equal parts for harder bars and increase the oils for softer bars. I use the 2 in tins and love them, they are easy to carry and store and my clients love them too. I also have larger tins when requested. I get them in my local craft store.

Thanks Selena, since we are in the dead of winter here I could easily use the softer bar... nothing is melting! I'm going to make a small batch - just to get my feet wet and I am sure I will end up tweeking this receipe a few times.
