How would I add color to lip balm without having it add color to lips when applied? I know you can use mica to color lip balm, but not sure if that would color the lips as well.

Thanks!
Jill

It won't color the lips unless you use a lot. And by "a lot" I mean more color than you thought possible :) I have a tiny little spoon that I use, I put one little scoop into 3oz of melted balm and that gets me 20 tubes. It colors the balm, but not the lips.

Best of luck!

In my experience, mica adds a little sparkle but doesn't really color your lips. I add left over scraps of lipstick to make new lipstick for myself. I think oxides would create lipstick but am not sure. I have not tried it yet.

I use cosmetic mica. If you use just a little, the color will not show up on the lips.
