I just ordered my 7 lb bottle of babassu oil...however, it is SOLID and I can't get more than a few spoonfuls out!! Does anyone else have experience with this? How did you get the oil out of the bottle? I'm afraid to heat this, as the bottle is plastic. Help me, Babassu Oil Masters!

Fill your bathtub with very warm water and let it melt in there. As soon as it's melted, transfer it to a container that's easier to get the oil out.

Thanks Soapbuddy!!! Would soaking it in the kitchen sink work, too? I live in an apt and only have a shower (stall).

I used to do the melting in hot water, but it just took too long. Now I just cut the top off with a box cutter and scoop the oil into another container.
