I have been labeling my own lip balm using print shop. I have a fantastic label after many hours/months of revising it however, I have been using krylon to protect the labels. I have seen some of my labels and they are starting to bleed and get dirty looking.

Is there a better way or do I need to break down and have them professionally made. For everyone out there selling their lip balm PLEASE let me know what I should do. I also have 10 differnent flavors. It is so much easier doing it myself but very time consuming.

I use a shrink wrap tube that has a perforation at the cap and leaves the "body" of the tube protected. Does a nice job of protecting my label.

Are you talking about the T-perforation. I usually use the horizonal ones and have thought about changing.

Not sure exactly what a "t" perforation is. The ones I use are just perforated where the cap meets the body. They work ok, but I wish they came apart at the perforations a little more easily.

My shrink wraps for lip balms only have a perforation around the top where it sits on the tube. Once you peel that off, the rest of the label is still protected.

I've also used the perforated shrink wrap plastics, and I think they sell them at BB. You may also want to check out Online Labels (onlinelabels.com). They offer specific lipbalm size label paper in tons of different varieties, including weatherproof. They don't print your labels, they simply sell the paper. They do offer an easy to use program designed specifically for printing on their label sizes which you can import your images onto. The best thing is that you can request free samples of any items, so you can actually see the finished product (with their watemark) before you actually spend money. And so far I've found their customer service to be very good.

I have heard if you use a laser printer, versus a inkjet printer that you have better protection from smearing.

just ignore the part about tips for pouring! I just found the tutorial on brambleberry! For some reason I was thinking that was for the lip butter pots...nevermind!
