Hello- I am trying to make a all natural facial moisturizer which is mainly coconut oil. I have been reading about how wonderful it is for the skin as a moisturizer so i am using it as my main oil. To that I am adding some jojoba oil, safflower oil, kukui nut oil, olive oil, mango butter and some lavender and lemongrass essential oil. The original recipe called for some beeswax also, but I have been told that isn't really a great item for a moisturizer going on the face because it sits on top of the skin and doesn't soak in. Now to my question.....what can I add to this mix to make it creamy? Depending on the temperature I know the coconut oil is solid, but when warmer it gets runny. Is Lecithin a suitable choice to make this more creamy?

Any ideas or suggestions for improving this recipe?

I believe you have double posted. I answered your question in the other post.

Hi, you could add some shea butter or aloe butter and whip it. It would have to get pretty warm to turn back into liquid and you wouldn't want to expose your products to that kind of heat anyway. :)Is Lecithin a suitable choice to make this more creamy?
After reading up on lecithin though I think you could use that to get the results you want. Only way to find out is to experiment.
