Teach Soap

So as I mentioned in a post or two - I made my very first batch of lotion with the Brambleberry From Scratch Lotion Kit.
I had an awesome time doing it as what I feared would be a scary journey (okay i'm exaggerating ). Everything came out perfect until I did the one thing I didn't know not to do until I read it in a post after the fact.
I put the caps on the bottles as soon as I poured the lotion into the bottles

The consistency of the lotion is fine and no seperation but it doesn't squirt out from the cap so I have to take the cap off and tamp on my hand for the lotion to come out (sort of like the Ketchup bottle exercise)

Has anyone had this happen as well or if there are other reasons not to seal the bottles right after pouring?

Never put the caps on til the lotion is complety cool. The condensation that collects in the cap is water that has no preservative. It could compromise the lotion and go moldy or grow germs or bacteria.

wau! even with the preservative already added from the recipe?
it's a good thing I haven't let anyone in my house try the lotion
