I've made my own powder blush and am now excited to make powder foundation. I have the booklet from Brambleberry on Mineral Makeup but I've misplaced my copy - not to worry- it'll turn up!! However, my question is this: the powder foundation I have made is all made with Micas and it is a bit too glisteny for my liking. What do I do to make it more of a matte look and not so shiny?
Thanks for your help!!

Maybe some corn starch? Although it may lighten your color a little. I don't make my own make up but I remember a friend who makes it telling me I can add some to a loose powder I bought that was just a little too dark for me.

Try Serecite.

Thank you! Sericite is one of my ingredients. I have some tapioca starch I could try adding also, that might work the same as corn starch.
