Teach Soap

Hi, new to the forum. I have been making Eczema products for my daughter ( who suffers terribly & my home made lotions, soaps & scrubs are only thing that helps) for many years.

It has been too many years since making lotions for myself & family members.

My question has to do with ingredients for a particular feel of the lotion. I had some BBW lotion a couple of years ago ( can't recall the exact one, but wasn't the normal classic line) that I loved the feel when applied.
It had a silky, dry glide when applied. It was also a non greasy feel.

What ingredients would you suggest to get this type lotion?

Your "silky, dry glide with a non greasy feel" describes Cyclomethicone.

Using BTMS rather than an e-wax will also give a lotion a silky dry glide. More of a "powdery" feel. But it can have a fishy sort of smell, so I wouldn't use it in a scent free lotion.

I was wondering about that fishy bums smell. I thought I overheated it. I scented my lotion and I still could smell it. Any suggestions in how to minimize?

I've not found anything that minimizes the fishy smell I usually scent my BTMS lotions a little more strongly than my ewax lotions, and I tend to be the only one who can detect the underlying fishy smell.
