Ok I made some Castile LS and added Lavender EO at 1 1/2% Since I have heard the Lavender EO turns LS to jelly I went ahead and diluted it at the full 1:6 ratio. It didnt thicken at all and has seperated. Has anyone else had this happen? I warmed my LS to around 140 degrees then whisked in the EO.

It came from Essential Depot. I do have some of the 40/42 from BB should I try that instead?

Try mixing the lavender with some polysorbate, then mix that into your liquid soap.

Essential oils are oil based. Liquid soap is water based. Normally, it's hard to mix oils and water and have them stay mixed.

I understand that however this is the only EO I have had this happen with. I guess its because I diluted it so much expecting it to thicken. Which Polysorbate do I need to get the 20 or the 80?
