Do not use a plastic cup to measure FO unless you are going to use it absolutely immediately. I set my little plastic dixie cup on the counter. A very few minutes later I notice my recipe is soaking wet. Then I notice that the FO has eaten and separated the bottom of the dixie cup from the sides of the cup. Four ounces of FO everywhere. So now I am using a small glass container. Besides the mess, I don't like wasting 4 ounces of FO. Let's face it -- they aren't cheap.

Almond Biscotti is very strong smelling whereas Island Coconut is not.

Strawberry smells great, but it accelerates and rices. The soap was gelling almost immediately. I did not give it insulation.

You need to mix your lye into frozen distilled water when it is hot outside. Not so much now that it is only 80 and down to 60 at night. The lye never got hot, so I made sure the oil was. The soap looks pretty but I'm a bit concerned -- although it is too early to tell if there is a problem. Interestingly enough, my recipe did not create enough soap batch to fill my molder.

I live in the desert with triple digit heat. I don't freeze my water, just use it cold from the fridge. My oils are just warmer then the temp of my hands.
