Has anyone worked with absolutes? I'm intrigued, but they're expensive, and I haven't seen them discussed in any of soap/balm books or online.

Given the cost, I prefer to save them for leave on applications like lotions and cremes. I haven't used them in CP soap.

I prefer them in leave on products as well. I do use cocoa absolute in soap though.

Right--but how do you use them in the leave-ons? Or is there a good discussion somewhere of proportions, dispersing, etc? Given the cost, I'd rather start with knowledge, and then experiment!

Since most are very concentrated, start with 1/4 gm per 16 ozs.
