Teach Soap

I did not see this scent reviewed. Here goes...

This FO was used in my second ever batch. The first was NG's Juicy Lemon...which went without a hitch. Very smooth. In contrast, this produced a bit of separation ("ricing"?) which I merely stirred through. Once I had stirred enough - it was fine. Don't have enough experience to say if it accelerated or not, but I blended for almost 15 minutes off and on before it thickened. Being new, I didn't do any color or anything...just wanted to go through a simple process. I used the NG recommended .5 oz per lb of oil. I would say that is plenty...so far, not a lot of fade. But its only been 5 days!

My problem with this FO, and its intensely personal, is that it reminds me of so many male colognes...this must be the base for most of them out there. Talk about scent triggering memories..this one takes me back to my party days in Rochester, NY.....circa 1983....

There I am, standing at the bar chatting with my friends when all of a sudden, I'm enveloped in a cloud of teakwood-cardamon (now I have a name for it). I turn to see where that smell is coming from, only to be faced with a hairy chest festooned with gold chains (I am only 5' tall, thus placing my face right in the guy's chest). Then...the inevitable "How yooo doin' tonight ladies? Anybody care for a dance?"

I realize that while I'd love to shake my booty to the ABBA song currently being played (remember...1983) but simply can't stand the sight, scent, or overall demeanor of Mr. Teakwood-Cardamon-Hairy-Chest.

So...if you want a MALE type fragrance reminiscent of cologne..and don't have too many bad memories of lousy pick-up artists - definitely try this one. But I am already of a mind to never use this one again alone - unless by request. Nice scent, just not for me or anybody living in my house!

Now what to do with the 3.5 oz of FO I have left.

Maybe you could use it in small amounts as a blender with some other scents.
