Teach Soap

I've had a couple soap fragrances at the farmer's market every week I've been there and never sold any of them. Today I sold out of both! I also sold a lot of unscented soap today, which was unusual - normally I only sell 1-2 bars each time. Soap is always an adventure!

Just as long as they don't ask for fragranced soap that you have at home and didn't bring it.

Linda, mind sharing what those fragrances are... you know I live vicariously through you since I do not sell! I am wondering if all your customers know each other and are spreading the news by word of mouth!

I find beach daisies SO strong! I made some MP soaps with it, used a low %, and wow! Super strong and extra floral!

I love the Honey glazed carrot! I am hoping I get to do a carrot soap this week... maybe tomorrow although my mom just called to say she has Georgia peaches and Michigan blueberries for me.... will have to do some freezing. I was hoping to fragrance my carrot soap with gingerale (ie:gingerfish) and sweet grass. I have not used honey since my very first soap... major problems with that one.

Got my carrot soap made tonight! This time I pureed my own carrots... but have a jar of the baby food on hand just in case I did not have enough pureed. The baby food is a lot more watery than my carrots so will have to see if this makes a difference.
I do have a nice mom... she even offered to cut them up and freeze for me... but I did not want to have her do all of that work. She did my blueberries for me last year...not to mention she made all of my strawberry jam this summer. I think I owe her some more soap!!

My mom just gave me 5 lbs of strawberries and made me 2 jars of strawberry rhubarb jam. I love her

I've never tried honey glazed carrot soap. One of my biggest fall sellers is pumpkin carrot soap, though.

And do you have one of your fancy descriptions for that one as well? I just did carrot (using my own carrots and the vitamixer). I will do a pumpkin for my october\november soaps, but that will have to come from a can. The lack of rain this early summer left me with no pumpkins to harvest.
