I found thisrecipe for acne-prone skin.... I'm wanting to know peoples thoughts on this...

4 parts Bergamot
4 parts Rose Geranium
4 parts Grapefruit
2 parts Juniper
2 parts Patchouli
2 parts Basil.

I have a bad case of acne due to my meds and I dont want o take an antibolic if I can help it. anyone's thoughts on the recipe above would greatly be welcome. I have YET to make it.

I would change it to 1 part Patchouli, otherwise it's going to overtake your blend. What product were you thinking of making with this blend?

I'm sure people are probably going to disagree with me on this, but I don't know how beneficial all those lovely eo's will be in mp soap since you'll be rinsing it off right away. Maybe using the blend in a toner or something might be better.

I wouldn't use a lotion if your skin is really bad. Use something lighter like a toner.

1/4 C. apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. witch hazel
1/2 C. distilled water
10 drops tea tree oil (or 5 drops Tree Tree, 5 Drops Lavender if you don't like the smell of tea tree)

Apply to a clean cotton ball and wipe effected areas (never double wipe - use a fresh cotton ball each time)

I make a simple sugar scrub for my teenage daughter - olive oil, sugar, and a bit of lemongrass and tea tree oils. It works really well for her and it's inexpensive. She uses it right away and it's anhydrous (no water) so I don't use a preservative.

There is also a great acne soap recipe right here on the teach soap site. I have used it with great success (subbing tea tree for the niaouli oil). I gave a bar to one of the stylists at my hair dresser's and she had bad cystic acne. It worked really well for her. I'm not making any medical claims, mind you, try it and see for yourself. Hope you find something that works.

what is the difference between Geranium Essential Oil and Rose Geranium?

I brought the wrong kind I think. if anyobne can give me a link or something to buy the right EO I'd be greatly thankful.
