I'd like to make a Lemon soap----as close to a "real" lemon smell as possible, but one that sticks and doesn't fade quickly. I'm looking at using just essential oils. How do I choose? Lemon eo is said to fade quickly, but I know there is also lemongrass and litsea cubeba to choose from.
I'll be using it for CP.

I would use Litsea. 3 parts lemon to 1 part litsea.

Your 3 parts are straight lemon essential oil, right? Is it the 5x?
Also, what would it smell like to use just litsea cubeba? (I've only smelled lemon eo, but not litsea cubeba or lemongrass)

Good to know! I might get both, and try the blend you mentioned. Sounds like it wouldn't hurt to have the litsea in there anyway, to help it hold.
