Teach Soap

So I have heard about 1 oz of fragrance oil for 1 lb of CP soap. Which is like 6% but on the fragrance oil bottles it suggests 2-4% most of the time. Does something in the process of CP allow for more fragrance for some reason?
When I look at bramble berry's fragrance calculator to compare the two, it has me using twice as much for CP than for MP. What is up with that?

Each fragrance is different due to the actual ingredients. Since that info is propriatery, the vendor of the FO should normally be able to tell you on safe usage.
MP has already been saponified, so you can use less then in cold process soaps. Lye is a pretty harsh environment for fragrances. I make and use both. My normal usage rate is 0.7 oz. per lb. for CP soap and up to 0.5 for 1 lb. of MP. There are always a few exceptions like cinnamon, which needs to be used at a lower rate for both, due to possible irritation.
