Has anyone tried the Lettuce BB FO? I havent tried it but i really enjoy the grass stain scent so i think Id also like lettuce. Can anyone explain what it resembles or give an example maybe? I like to be able to smell the FO somewhat easily and Im a bit afraid its too lite. Maybe Im weird but I like ordering in at least 2 oz not a fan of samples. Sometimes i love to randomly pick FO that Ive never smelled. Kentish Rain is now one of my faves because of that! Thanks everyone!

I use Lettuce if I'm ever short on a fragrance. It blends with just about anything.

I love the Lettuce FO. Just went finished off a 4 oz bottle and immediately hopped on to BB to order another.

It's a subtle fragrance, just green and water notes that I can detect.

We have been making castile with the lettuce fragrance oil, but we have been getting spots in our finished bars. What could this be?

In our first batch the lettuce FO seemed to increase the trace and the there were many spots the next day. The second batch we added the FO early and even though it sped up trace, it at least didn't get clumpy but we still have a few spots.

Does anyone have any tips?

Well..our oil/lye was somewhere between 70-80 (approximate guess) when we added the fragrance. The castile normally traces within 5-10 minutes depending on the size of the batch. We use a stick blender so it goes quick. I like to soap at 80F. It's worked well for us with this recipe. Do you suppose the temp is the problem?

K. Will try that on the next batch. We are using just regular Pure Olive Oil. Our local Costco has an incredible price on it right now (less than Pomace) so we stocked up.

We determined that the oil we used had probably gone bad. We made another batch, adding lettuce at light trace, and it turned out great. We *love* the lettuce FO. It's really lovely.
