Does all anise smell like licorice? I've seen just plain anise, and then something called star anise. I'm looking for the one that smells like licorice.

(A friend just confessed that she loves licorice, and was thrilled to realize that I could make licorice-smelling soap. With activated charcoal for coloring, I'm thinking.)

Thanks for the help.

Anita

Actually both smell like licorice, so choose whichever you want.

I always prefer the anise because i sort of have the feeling that its fragrance is more intense :) I really like that.
