Vanilla is a seed pod from an Orchid flower. ( A Vanilla Orchid of course.) You could do floral, but not many people would know to look for it there.

I agree with Magic_Hands, vanilla would fit better into a "sweet" category if you don't like Bramble Momma's suggestion of "dessert-like".

I wish I had more "dessert-like" scents but I don't. I ended up putting it under "Sweet". It doesn't really matter since I have all my scents listed on one page but I catagorized them so people would know what kind of scent it is. Some people might not know that (stupid example coming up) that Sandalwood is an earthy scent or Plumeria is floral. I just want to make it easy. So now for my next quandry...What about Honey Almond or Oatmeal Honey Almond? I don't think of that as food like but it kink of is. Would that be a "dessert-like" scent? My brain is just not functioning. Too much going through it (or maybe not enough, LOL!).

I would categorize both Honey Almond and Oatmeal honey almond under the dessert-like category.

What about putting it under a /warm catagory, along with the Honey Almond and Oatmeal Honey. Just a thought.

This is kinda an old post....but how about "warm"?

Like:

vanilla
sandalwood

etc....cozy type scents....? Not spicy per se...but warm...
