Teach Soap

I love the smell of coconut, and a rich white MP soap with coconut in it is my next experiment.

For those of you who use this fragrance - so you blend it, or use a blend? Like with some citrusy scent....
Or do you go with pure coconut?

I haven't yet found a coconut that I love by itself, so I've blended mine with:
lime
almond
bay rum
coffee
lavender
Violet
and of course, chocolate

Not all at once, of course.

I have a coconut FO that I love by itself, and have a few customers that buy whole loaves from me just for that FO. That being said, it is pretty sweet. It depends on the FO you're using, but a touch of vanilla (not an overly sweet one) or musk to tone the coconut down should also go well.

One part peppermint e.o. to 2 parts coconut f.o. is one of my favorite blends.

Does your coconut stick in CP soap? I've heard that it usually fades away.
Maybe there is a certain brand that is better than others?

That would be wonderful pomseed if you would share your favorite coconut fro supplier!

So many many coconut fro's do not make the grade, either fade or don't smell like the real deal.
There is a coconut soap glycerine made in Hawaii that is the closest I've come to, but I don't know who does there fragrance oils.

Hi everyone! Sorry, I did forget to check back. The coconut I use is WSP's Caribbean Coconut: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/Pr ... ductID=551.

It's pretty much the only WSP fragrance that I'd order again when I run out. I'm not sure how it does in CP, but it does very well in MP and balms.

I should also note that it doesn't seem to have a fading problem. I made some samples in MP back in January, whipped them out the other day and they still smelled great.

I might give this a try when I whittle down my to do list and wish list.
