I have been looking for Pimpinella Anise but went ahead a purchased BB Star Anise. Anyone used it in cp soap? Just wondering about how much ppo and if it stuck. Any other problems with it? BB does not have any notes as far as using it with cp. I have had a couple clients after me for some time to create something like this so decided to finally bite the bullet and dive in.
Thanks.
Helene

I have used BB Star Anise with success. I did combine it with small amounts of litsea, patchouli and bergamot. In that blend I used .45 oz ppo and the CPOP method. The fragrance sticks well, and those who like it, seem to love it. Others just don't favor the scent, and move on to something else, but it seems to soap very well.

I've used it at 0.7 PPO. It sticks.

Thank you Scents & Soapbuddy. I'll feel more comfortable giving it a try now. I think I will make a really small batch at the bottom of my log mold with black oxide, then cut it long ways to insert in a full size batch of uncolored soap. Should add interest when cut into bars rather then an all black bar.

I purchased some great Anise E.O. from camdengrey.com and used about 6 oz.'s in a 24lb. batch and it came out wonderful, acted great and the scent is still strong after 6 months! Good luck! Joanne

I've used EOU's anise and it stuck like crazy. Not a huge seller, but it turned out real nice.
