Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me out with my Patchouli fragrance. My recipe makes 30 bars of soap. Years ago, I used to use 2oz of patchouli and it worked fine. In the last couple of years, I could never get that really strong fragrance. I made a batch a couple of days ago, and used 6oz of Patchouli and it turned out great. The bottle was also bought a year or so ago. So, I guess by increasing the amount of oil, and an older bottle of oil, it worked. I am so happy. I still say the manufacturers are cutting or diluting the patchouli oil. Thanks a million. Now i have a question about packaging, but I'll go to another forum for that.

Yay, that's great! Patchouli is one of those essential oils that does age nicely and get better with age (one of the few) so the older bottle could be stronger than a newer one. =)
