Can anyone tell me the difference between the two EO Lavenders that BB carries. I have used the 40/42 lavender, but was wondering what the Hungarian Lavender is like.

Which Lavender sell better, or should I say, which is most popular with people??

40/42 Lavender is used by large manufacturers as it's exactly the same every time. Sometimes there are natural additions to this oil by the manufacturer, so it's eaxctly the same from batch to batch. Hungarian Lavender is very nice, but can vary slightly from batch to batch, according to where it was grown, growing conditions, in what altitude and what the weather was at the time when it was harvested.

Soapbuddy, can you tell me what the differences are in the scent of the two??

I can, as I have worked with Lavenders for some time, but a person off the street probably wouldn't notice in the finished product.

Does one smell more medicinal than the other? I find some lavenders smell herbal or medicinal to me while others smell more floral and true.

The 40/42 smells the least medicinal. For a more floral Lavender, I like Lavandula Abrialis, but it's pricey.

Thanks. I love a nice floral smelling lavender. A touch of herbal is okay but I prefer a truer floral note.
