Teach Soap

I ordered the 2nd Distillation Peppermint from BB and learned that after the box was shipped that it isn't available right now......though it was on the website when I placed the order. According to the website, 1st Distillation Peppermint is available.

My question is: Is there that much difference between them? I make cold process soap and people who order the peppermint blend like it strong. I typically mix it with Eucalyptus in about a 75% to 25% ratio in favor of Peppermint. I have a standing order and need to make it now so it will have time to cure. If I wait until the 2nd Distillation is available to make the soap, it will be late and I'll loose the order.

If there isn't that much difference, I'll order the other peppermint from BB (I'm very loyal to BB). If there's a big difference, can someone recommend someplace I can order strong peppermint EO? Any comments are appreciated.

No big difference. The 2nd distillation is a little "sweeter".

Sorry about that! Sometimes there is a few hour delay in the floor actually running out of something and then coming up to tell the web site people to take it down....

There is a little difference but nothing major, especially if you are blending it. Like Soapbuddy said it is sweeter, more like a candy cane then a real herb-y mint.
