This is Amyris 600 from Wholesale Supplies Plus. Given the cost of East Indian Sandalwood, (yikes!) I decided to try the "poor man's substitute" - amyris. Three words: "Save your money."
I love sandalwood. I like deep earthy scents. Herbal, too. I even like woodsy. This amyris 600, however smells like a cold charred campfire the next day. I've given it the q-tip test, the paper blotter test, the kleenex in the bathroom test and decided not to use it in soap. Nothing sandalwoody about it to my nose. It's about the most unappealing essential oil I've ever purchased. I dislike it so much that I wouldn't use it as an anchor, in a dog soap --wouldn't do that to my dogs.

or in anything else I can think of. It's that bad, IMO.
In fairness, their Wild Honeysuckle FO 250 is very nice. Not blossomy or cloyingly sweet but more like a true honeysuckle. May not be sweet enough for some folks, but I really like it. We'll see how it holds up in CP.
I ordered some Bramblerry Sensuous Sandlewood FO (along with several other FO's) and look forward to trying those. I think their shipping was more reasonable than Wholesale Supplies Plus' too. The real plus for me though is their knowledge of what discolors, what may accelerate trace, and the fact that they use their EO's and FO's in soaping.
