Teach Soap

I was reading a post about Roses EO. and some of usknow that this EO is really pricey.
and I just thought about the book I have at home by Helene Berton, Les huiles essentielles pour la peau, une saine alternative aux cosmetiques. Actually she says that you can substitute EO by roses hydrosol in some cosmetic uses. Similar sent, natural and affordable.

Well I am really curious about your point of view since you have more soaping experience than me but I already try hydrosol in cp, cutting the water of the amout of hydrosol to my lye... to avoid the excess of water.

ex: recipe calls for 125 ml of water
and your adding 15 ml of hydrosol
so I use 110 ml of water to be ok

and with nice hard, but soft on skin soap
I use melon hydrosol that time -crisp, fresh, fruity smell

Hydrosol's scent will not hold up in CP soap. Use it in a toner or a lotion or cream instead.
