Hi all,

I purchased this Oil from BB. I want to make a facial lotion for myself. I'm not sure I want to use this Oil alone. I'd like to blend it with something. Can anyone give me any ideas? I tried searching carrot seed oil but couldn't find what I was looking for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use it more like an EO... I put it in an eye cream along with some sandalwood EO and lavender absolute.

Thank you. Yes, that's how I'm using it also (as an EO). Sorry, I should have explained that. I just needed to add something to it to take the edge off the carrot seed scent.

It's a pretty strong scent. What is the % you are using in your lotion?
You can try clary sage, ylang ylang or Patchouli.

Have you tried the Rainbow meadow blend recipe calculator? http://www.rainbowmeadow.com/infocenter ... select.php

Just plug in carrot seed and something else like lavender 40/42 and it will give you all sorts of blends. The recipes are written in parts, so it is easy to traslate that to drops to see how you like it first.

Yes, I tried Rainbow blend calculator. I was just looking for something to take the bite out of the scent a bit. Thank you.

Soap buddy, thank you for the suggestion of Ylang Ylang. I have that. I have a couple of empty sample bottles. I will try to blend the Ylang Ylang to see what that does. I'm planning to put between 1 - 1.5% in my lotion. What do you think about Chamomile/Bergamot or Litsea?
