I have used fragrances with 4% vanillin - cured to a dark brown that would have muddied any color; like coffee with a touch of milk in it.
I have used fragrances with 1.5% vanillin - a light tan that would mellow out any dye color, but still workable.
I am about to use NG's Key Lime Pie, with 2% vanillin. Hmmm....do you think that extra .5% will make using color a bad idea? Its KEY LIME PIE...I gotta get some green into the soap.
If you are wondering...no I don't have any vanilla stabilizer. Ain't gonna buy any. If necessary, I'll just let this batch go without color.
But. KEY. LIME. PIE. Should I try green with it?
