Hi Folks:

I am looking for suggestions as to what anchors work well with using Clove EO, if any are required. I want Clove to be the singular fragrance in my planned batch.

For those of you who have used Clove EO from multiple suppliers, what source do you feel offers the most realistic fragrance?

I have also seen a few suppliers who offer Clove FO. I wonder how these might compare to the EO?

It's been a long time since I made clove EO soap. The EO I used was NOW brand from the health food store. Clove is STRONG it does not need an anchor! BTW, be prepared for soap on a stick. I used a pink colorant from Hobby Lobby. (This was early in my soap making career!) It made a very hard bar very fast.

I've never used clove FO, but the EO has a fairly low safe usage rate, so be sure to check before using it.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Clove does not need an anchor. It has to be used at a small % according to the IFRA guidelines. Also, clove can accelerate trace or can make your soap seize.
