Teach Soap

I got Cinnamon Sugar FO in my latest Bramble Berry order. I love the way it smells in the bottle, so I thought I'd use it for a Valentine's Day soap. I went to the BB fragrance calculator and it suggested that I use 0.75 oz total for a 50 oz total batch (34 oz oils), so roughly about 0.3 oz of fragrance per pound of oils. Is this correct? I was figuring on a lower usage rate because of the cinnamon, but this seems lower than I expected. If anyone has used this one and can give me an idea of what their usage rate was, that would be awesome!

That's interesting, I just ran it for a 1 pound batch and got the same results. I don't have any on hand to make a test batch, but maybe the spices pack a punch.

Cinnamon can only be used in small amounts, otherwise it can be skin irritating.

I knew cinnamon was an irritant, I was just surprised at exactly how far the usage rate fell. I'll use the suggested "medium" rate and see what happens. Thanks Irena!
