Teach Soap

I'm having more troubles than triumphs at the moment - this time it's fragrance. I haven't been soaping for very long and most of my scented soaps aren't ready to use yet, but I notice that the fragrance has all but disappeared from most of them. I'm disappointed because they smelled great when they were first made. The only one that seems to stick around is lavender EO, almost everything else I've used is FO. I've been using about 1 tablespoon per lb of oils, does that sound right? I've had all the usual problems with accelerated trace as well but have found some good solutions/things to try on this forum, thanks!

Your issue is using tablespoons as measurements, it is highly inaccurate you need to use weight measurements BB has a FO calculater for their FOs and other sites will give you safe usage rates for FOs. I usually start with .5 oz ppo but it depends on the fragrance

You cannot go by tablespoons, you have to go by weight. If it's a small amount, go by grams.

Thanks for the advice, I'll use weight next time. Can't think where I read the tablespoon instructions....
