Teach Soap

Has anyone tried this FO in soap yet? I got some and I like it. I smell the citrus, the citrus flowers, some sweetness, amber and musk maybe?

I should have asked for a sample bottle of this fragrance before I ordered a slightly larger amount. I don't like it. I tried it in a cold process soap and still don't like it. Some of my family likes it but I can't help but think of old lady perfume In and out of the soap. I even added a bit of Cedarwood atlas(yes, I know they are both top note but the fresh bamboo would have accelerated to quickly for what I wanted to do and didn't have my order yet with my tobacco and bay leaf to try with it because I wanted to try to tone down the nasty perfume smell.

Thanks for the review. So the scent morphs in CP soap?

No, at least I would not say that, no odd smell, no different or weird smell, It smells just as nasty to me in the soap as opening the bottle. It's all in the nose of the sniffer I do think the lighter the scent gets as the soap ages it is easier for me to take. My daughter(22yrs old) loves it, but her and I disagree on scents totally.

If you are in the US, would you be willing to send my a little sample of the made soap?

Sure. I'm from PA. The deep bitter woodsy smell of the Cedarwood atlas I don't mind (which I bought to mix with other essential oils and because of its properties) but I'm just not a perfume girl. My 21 yr old son says "it smells like soap" it's 6 wk cure time is like the end of the 2nd wk of June but I would have to look at my soap calendar for exact date. Let me know when you would like me to send it to you.

I wasn't too crazy about it either. Hesitant to make CP soap, I mixed it with kumquat to make bath fizzies. Customers were not liking it much either.

Just thought I would share: I just tested some fragrances yesterday in m&p just to get an idea of what scents mix great with tea tree to give me a better idea of what to try with a batch of CP. One of the 16 scent samples mixed was neroli & Shea blossom frag, vanilla select frag, and tea tree essential oil (all from BB), my household loves the aroma-my hubby says it reminds him of baby powder, I don't have quite that opinion but I really do like the combo together which is HUGE considering I do not like the aroma of neroli and Shea blossom from the bottle. I can't wait to try it in cp......maybe tomorrow, today is for getting frosting roses and Lillie's made(not soap ones).
