Teach Soap

Hi everyone. Is there any chocolate fragrance? I have searched BBs site and didn't find any. Every year my sisters and I get together before Christmas and make biscotti, drink wine and eat chocolate. I thought I would like to make soap to give at our get together. I found almond biscotti and a wine fragrance but no chocolate. If I use cocoa will it make the soap smell like choc. or just color it? Any suggestions? How do I use the cocoa? What amount ppo?

Plain cocoa will not add scent to your soap. Use cocoa powder at a small amount, otherwise you will have brown bubbles.

I like BB's Chocolate Espresso. More chocolate than coffee smell to my nose

Cocoa butter will help unless it's deodorized.

I love, love, love the Dark Rich Chocolate. It does discolor quite a bit though, the soap will be brown. It is still a wonderful scent!

Thank you all for your suggestions. Does cocoa butter add a cocoa fragrance? Anything I should know about using it?

Bramble Momma, You really do have a Nice selection of chocolate fragrances. Not sure why my search did not have any results. I went back and tried another search which brought up several yummy scents. Now I have to make a decision.

I used the dark rich chocolate f.o. from BB. It has been about 4 weeks now and the soap has turned a nice chocolate brown. The scent is more like a chocolate cake or cookie than a dark chocolate but it is still a very nice scent. It makes my kitchen smell like I've been baking. Hope my sisters like it.

I use "hot fudge brownies" FO from NG. Literally makes my mouth water! And it does NOT discolour!

I just tried out my dark rich chocolate soap and I am very unhappy. The soap discolored to a very dark chocolate color. This was expected and what I thought I wanted. I didn't use any other color to help it along. The bubbles are brown and so is the wash cloth. This was going to be given as Christmas presents but now I'm not sure what I will do with it. I don't think I used too much f.o. 74 oz. of soap and 2 oz. f.o.
