Teach Soap

What do you do when you use a "type" fragrance in your products for labeling? Do you label it as (for example) Love Spell Type, or Love Spell Type similar to Victoria Secret, etc. Or do you jut change the name altogether???? I want people to know that the scent is like a Victoria Secret, BBW, Donna Karen, etc, but I don't want to infringe on any copyrights and what not.....

You just use "fragrance" on your ingredient list. As for the name of your soap, I would use a different name so that you don't have to waste precious room stating that your product is not the copyrighted one and is just a "type". Take a look at those vendors that sell dupes and you will find a disclaimer like what I am referring to. In your description you could use the disclaimer and add "type" to describe the scent, but for the name, I personally would stay away from the trademarked/copyrighted ones.

I rarely buy "type" FOs, but when I use them I always rename the soap.
