What scents say "tropical" to you?

Living in Minnesota, I've found a lot of people I talk to like to use spring-y/summer-y/tropical scents in lotion and soap during the winter - almost like we're trying to fool ourselves that's it not that bad outside! :lol:

Spring-y and summery scents I can get a handle on - green, berries, things like that. However, I'm stuck on tropical scents, other than like mango and lime. What else brings "tropical" to mind for people?

Did you guys get snow last night? We've got cold rain which is supposed to turn into snow here in Western WI. So sick of snow!

As far as tropical:
Coconut
Papaya
pineapple
acai
guava
mandarin, tangerines, grapefruit or any other citrus fruits in that category
maybe a little honeydew melon or watermelon
Hawaiian Ginger
Pina Colada

All the ones Genny listed plus: jasmine, frangiapani, orange blossoms, orchid, bamboo, and ocean.

Tropical; coconut with lime verbania, plumeria, pineapple, jasmine, neroli or any type of orange, and gardenia,especially the Monoi Tiaré Tahiti !

Wow, so many smells! I may have to buy some more EO's and FO's to try for my tropical scent. Oh no, right? :lol:

BB has a coconut lemongrass FO and a passionfruit papaya FO that both sound delicious...I might try those first before trying to mix my own scent.

I love BB's coconut lemongrass too. I'm also from Minnesota, and I love anything that smells like a tropical drink: coconut, rum, banana, orange, pineapple, etc. One scent that I've really loved recently is from WSP - Caribbean Coconut. I've been smelling those bars a lot lately, willing the snow to go away
