I am about to use my 1 oz NG sample of Indian Sandalwood. I was checking the vanilla content - NG says its 0% but the tester says it discolors to a light tan. Huh?

How can an FO with no vanilla discolor - unless there are other chemicals that cause tan discoloration? Oh well, I guess we will see....

There are other constituents in fo's & eo's that discolor. But yes, Indian Sandalwood does discolor to tan. It may contain some sandalwood eo, which turns brown as well?

Thanks Genny. I'll take the light tan into consideration when choosing colors. I think a dark brown (oxide color) with a brownish orange (yellow + red oxide + natural tan) plus the natural light tan will work.

Depending on the ingredients used to make the fragrance, it can turn tan to brown; even with no vanilla content.
