@mella - check a restaurant supply place for the stainless sink & sideboard. Sometimes they get used ones in that are very reasonably priced.

So my question is with a cupboard full of fragrance like this , does one use that much in one year? Or do you replace the whole lot each year? Is this a viable question?

So back to the patchouli thing...

There's a sale right now on "dark" Patchouli at NDA.

Is this stuff good? Does it smell different (or bad/worse/better) than regular patchouli?

I want to stock up but would love your opinions first (okay this is directed mainly at our Patch Queen - soapbuddy. ha!)

(cont'd from my question above re sale on "dark" patchouli EO)

... In the NDA description it says this which sorta concerns me:

"The color of the patchouli oil is affected by the distillation machine. If distillation is done in a stainless steel vessel the color of the oil will be light, but if done in an iron vessel the color will be darker."

Erm, is this a bad thing? i.e. is the iron leaching into the patchouli? If so, is that harmful?

Curious. I want to buy some of this while the price is good (and it gets rave reviews) but not if it's poor quality or even toxic...

I do not have an answer re the iron leaching into the fro.

Jan 2011 $35.00 for 16 oz, August 2011 $65.00 for 16 oz. This may be the deal of a century!

Thanks Irena - can you tell me if there's any toxicity concern re the iron vessel it's created in? (This probably comes across as paranoid but wanting to understand this part of it if possible).

I have the dark patch from nda. Great stuff, and I hate patch with a passion, but other people love it.
