I need an FO that's not the usual Bay rum scent, not overly spicy, not a designer knock-off- something different.

Something that fits someone with refinement, who knows who he is, maybe a bit of an understated fragrance.

I keep looking at the Cedar and Saffron on BB's site, but never having smelled it, I'm not sure what it's like.

Suggestions?

TIA

Beau Brummel smells like an upscale men's scent. You could also try Cold Water, Dragon's Blood or Spellbound Woods.

Heck, *I* would like Dragon's Blood. That's my kind of scent. Mmmmm. Deep, earthy, rich. Not sure about the middle notes in the Cold Water. Kind of fem. Is that a take off on Cool Water? I've smelled that. ( Men's cologne.) Spellbound Woods sounds intriguing, though. :)

Beau Brummel does sound upscale, but probably for a more mature (as in older) man than I'm making this soap for.

I'll put Spellbound Woods on my wish list. And a funny: Almost every time I make a batch of soap, ( unless it's really feminine) my DH says it's his new favorite scent. Today his new favorite scent is almond. Go figure.

I haven't smelled all those, but my husband and friends husbands and neighbor men, like the huckleberry scent so far the best. From SweetCakes. They say it drives them wild (like bears I guess). LOL

I soaped Spell bound woods once....the 1oz. size wasn't enough for my 2lb. test batch. The smell just kind of dissapered. And it seemed light to begin with. I've never smelled Saffron ( who has, it's the MOST EXPENSIVE spice in the world) But I love cedar.
Check out BBs Frankinscence and Mhyrr, It's on my list of just too damn sexy. 8)

I make a soap for ladys called Romance) . My hairdresser asked me if she could count on some romance if she used it. I told her to put her husbsnd in the shower and lather him up with that soap and if she didn't get romance out of it I would refund her money. I havent been asked for a refund yet.

Another vote for huckleberry here. I am vacationing in Montana and went to an art fair. Spotted Cat and I have been joking about it, but my boyfriend bought me a soap that he loved. It is Buffalo Tallow soap with huckleberry. My daughter and I think it smells rancid but boyfriend loves it.
