Hi all, I bought some Rosemary EO from brambleberry. It smells a little medicinal. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a blend for this. I really like rosemary. I have Pepperment, clary sage, Lavender 40/20, & Lime as far as EO. I have some other FO too.

I *just* did a soap with Rosemary EO and mint...and I read somewhere that Rosemary should be used 1 oz to 6-8 pounds of soap...so, less is more in this case!

(*and the soap smells minty...with a hint of "something else" so that must be the rosemary!)

Rosemary and Lemon Eucaluptus is nice also. It depends what you are wanting to do with it. :)

Rosemary Peppermint is my best seller. I have made a Rosemary Lavender before but I personally didn't like it.

Thank you Haven. Do you use equal parts rosemary & peppermint or do you use less rosemary, if you don't mind my asking? I'm a hobbyist, don't plan to sell any soaps

It really just depends on what I am looking for. Most of the time I use a tad bit less Rosemary. It is such a strong scent to me that I like the undertones it gives the Peppermint.

Thank you Haven. I was thinking maybe 1 part rosemary to 3 parts peppermint? Have you ever used Lavender with rosemary? I wonder if Rosemary/Lavender/Mint would work?

For some reason I just didn't like the Rosemary and Lavender together. I don't know about with Peppermint but give it a go and see what you like. I think if you do 1 part Rosemary to 3 parts Peppermint, you wouldn't smell the Rosemary. Peppermint is pretty strong and I think could easily overpower the Rosemary. I would try 1.5 parts to 2.5 parts if you want less Rosemary than Peppermint.

At what measurement per lb. does peppermint make skin tingle ? You have to be careful with peppermint EO. I like that it tingles but if you had sunburn, a rash or acne it might not be a good kind of tingle.

Well, I use Peppermint FO. I really don't care if it is natural or not. I just like the scent. If you use EO's you do need to be careful.

Spearmint is "sweeter" than Peppermint. I like it better in blends.

Thank you all. I really don't know if I have EO or FO, I will have to check my billing statement.
