Teach Soap

Tea Tree Oil will be plenty strong in CP soap. I don't think you CAN hide the smell of that! LOL
CP doesn't kill off the scent of every EO, and the Tea Tree Properties will still be there as well.

umm. Not sure about the flash point... I wish I new more about chemistry my brother just got his degree in biology and has a minor in chemistry. Maybe I can ask him and report back tonight. Do you do CP or HP? I'm a CPer, but I've heard that with HP you can add delicate ingredients at the very end and they won't be affected by the lye. Any HP soapers out there? Is this true? When I said that tea tree EO is better for leave on aplications it was partly because of the lye thing and partly because with leave on applications I feel the EO have a better chance to absorb into your skin because you don't immediately wash it off. Ya know?

I do CP but I have been wanting to try HP.

Flashpoint has more to do with candles than soap.

^^^Ahhhh...I guess I was equating flash point with evap point, and since the soap gets hot...evaporating the FO or EO....Creative chemistry, no?

I've been wondering myself if I should make a batch of soap w/no EO, rebatch and add things like Tea Tree so it's unaffected by the lye...but wonder if it would be worth the trouble, since it's a wash-off product anyway...hrm...
