Teach Soap

Hello everyone! I am still trying to figure out how to duplicate that "sand" smell. Suppliers state it in their scent description like there is one naturally, and I am trying to make a beach scent that will distinctly be my own. Does anyone have any advice or know which essential oils can be blended together in order to make this "sand" smell? I would appreciate any advice, thank you.

You're looking for an actual sand smell? I guess I didn't even realize sand had a smell. Guess I'm going to have to go out and sniff my kid's sandbox later

I can honestly say that I don't think there are any eo's that will have a sand type smell. I've had some that smelled like dirt, but not sand.

And in FL, the beach sand smells a little fishy/seaweedy/salty...not like play sand.

for a beachy sand smell there's a FO called beach bum.. you could try that as a sample . Dont know if Bramble berry carries that FO or not. I know I saw it but cant remember where.... too much sniffing my rubbing acholal during pouring Soap. LOL just kidding... Melissa

Thank you everyone, I guess could've been a little bit more exact with my description! I am looking for something that will make a suntan smell to make my own beach perfume. I know there are scents from companies that "mimic" that suntan smell, but I would like to add my own elements on top of the suntan smell, to make it an original scent of mine. I didn't realize what I was asing for exactly until I read the replies. Here in Charlotte, there is no sand unless I travel 3 hours to Myrtle Beach. (Sigh) I miss NY so bad!!!

I have Beach Bum from Nature's Garden. You can get 1 or 2 oz size bottles from there for around $2.60 usually. To me it smells more tropical though, kind of coconuty. You might could try a light sort of ocean breeze FO? NG had two when I searched just now called Sand Castles and Sun & Sand, but they both listed fruit and/or floral notes.
