Teach Soap

I bought orange oil from a local herb/ essential oil store. I got it to use in a foot scrub. Is it OK to use in soaps? I have read that it strips skin off because of the limonene?? I did not know that when I bought it. People do use it a lot though don't they?

Limonene doesn't strip skin off. It's sometimes used as a more natural paint stripper. It can irritate your skin, but almost all eo's & fo's will do that if they haven't been dilluted.
Orange eo is as safe as other eo's as long as it's used correctly.
It can be used in soap, are you planning to use it in cp or mp?

I was going to use it in MP

Orange oil can be a sun sensitizer. I would not go any higher then 0.5 oz. per pound of MP. I would suggest to customers not to use this soap on their face.

Do i have to put them in a carrier oil before putting them in my soaps?
