I was wondering if anyone has used BB oils for reed diffusers?

I am awaitng some to try, and I read on commercial labels, that most contain approximately 10% alcohol - just which type I am not sure!

Most of my reading indicates that "regular" FO's are too thick to move up through the reed structure. I know some of my BB oils are very thin, and others are more viscous.

Has anyone tried?

You'll need to do some experimenting to find the right proportions for each fragrance oil (not all will need the exact same amount), but dilute them with either DPG or IPM. I've heard (but haven't tested to verify) that IPM works better than DPG ... it wicks up the reeds better, doesn't require flipping of the reeds, and won't clog the reeds like DPG will.

Typical ratios are anywhere from 1:1 diluent to FO to 3:1 diluent to FO.

Thanks everyone for this food for thought. I had a horrible feeling it was going to be a big "testing" experience and that each FO would differ. I've been offered some really economical reeds, but not sure I'll have the time to take all this on.
