Recently purchased vanilla stabilizer from Bramble Berry (what a great company!). I have been trying to find a list of scents that a person should use the stabilizer with. I haven't found anything on the BB web site, but may have missed it...? Also, is there any way a person can tell if a particular scent will yellow the soap?
Thank you very much for any help.
Steph

To my understanding you use the stabilizer with fragrances that have more than 5% vanilla content. Yes, there is that chance it could turn your soap yellow.

Thank you Soapbuddy! Which leads me to my next question (sorry!); How can one determine the percentage of vanilla in a scent?
Is there a way to tell if a scent (I think I read lemon will...?) will color the soap?

Some vendors post the vanilla content, some don't. Your best bet is to make a small batch and if it discolors, try the next batch with the stabilizer.
