Tonight I did a blend from a recipe posted at Sweet Cakes. It was their Midnight in Tunisia mixed with Masculine Musk. Well, it riced, almost seized. I used a stick blender on it which helped, but the colors I mixed (unscented) were nice and liquid while the fragranced white got pasty. So it won't turn out like I planned, though I"m sure it'll be...interesting. LOL! Worse...someone in my house appropriated my alcohol.
Anyhow, what are your favorites for working with that don't seize? And what are some otherwise great fragrances that should come with a warning label?
Lately I've had excellent luck with (BB) Berry Wine, Blackberry Sage, Tobacco and Bay Leaf (though it goes slightly taupe) Nag Champ (discolors) and English Rose and Sweet Pea. I'm looking for a couple unisex fragrances that won't accelerate and won't discolor because I'm doing a bunch of rainbow themed soaps to giveaway at booksignings in the Fall.
